Get ready for an exclusive look at the exciting transformations happening at Hollywood Studios! The latest aerial photos reveal the progress of the highly anticipated Monstropolis area, and it's a sight to behold!
These breathtaking images, courtesy of X user bioreconstruct, offer a unique perspective on the ongoing developments at Walt Disney World Resort's Hollywood Studios. From the new Monstropolis area to the coaster building and Animation Courtyard, there's a lot to uncover.
Let's dive into the details. The aerial shot above provides a stunning view of the park from the west, showcasing the upcoming attractions. At the bottom center, you'll spot Galaxy's Edge, and just above it, the future home of the Monsters, Inc. suspended coaster.
But here's where it gets controversial... The construction of the gravity building for the roller coaster is well underway. Since our last update, significant progress has been made, with more concrete flooring, forms, and a substantial amount of fill dirt. The dirt covers the concrete foundation, which was visible in previous photos. Even the electrical conduits are being buried, ensuring a seamless experience for guests.
Take a closer look at the guest-facing side of the building in the top left of the photo. The right-angled outline is starting to take shape, giving us a glimpse of the attraction's front facade.

In this photo, we also notice the removal of Gonzo's Royal Flush sign and the PizzeRizzo sign, making way for the new Monstropolis area.
Shifting our focus to the front of the park, the entrance is located at the bottom left, with the Monstropolis construction taking center stage in the upper left.
